Scrum Master - Extended Training

Scrum Master – Extended Training

Scrum is an agile development method by which the product will be built ready one part at a time in short development cycles called sprints. During this two-day course participants will learn about the different subject areas of the method, its elements, and operators. The course is based on the theory of the method below, without forgetting the practical examples, experiences and best practices. Agile development is one of the ways of conducting Lean development, so the principles of Lean Software development will be covered during the course.

Agile processes intend to produce the customer and user of the product as much value as quickly as possible. This does not mean, however, that the rapid generation of value is important in itself: value must be able to be produced in such a manner that the product meets the quality requirements set for it. The course also includes different quality techniques to ensure product quality.

In addition, we will discuss the evaluation of the workload. In agile development workload estimates are expressly estimates, not absolute commitments. The evaluation is very difficult, and it is approached in this course by discussing the possible pitfalls. In addition, we look at how progress is measured and how the development can be controlled using metrics.
Distributed Agile development is a rapidly growing trend, so the course also deals with working with external teams, and introduces for scaling agile development in organizations.

The course is interactive and participatory in nature. The issues raised are illustrated with practical examples and exercises.

The course does not require previous knowledge of Scrum – but the method is recommended for participants to explore Scrum Primer, a site that offers a good overview of the subject matter.
After the course you are well prepared to achieve the Scrum.org Profession Scrum Master level I (PSM I) Certificate. For more information on the certificate and the requirements can be found here.
