Scrum Master -From Theory to Practice

Scrum Master -From Theory to Practice

Scrum is an agile development method by which the product will be built ready one part at a time in short development cycles called sprints. Scrum is a simple framework that encompasses a number of activities, elements, and roles.

One of these roles is the Scrum Master, which acts as a facilitator, a patron of the team, the coach, and the enhancer of activity, as well as the owner of the process. Deep knowledge of the Scrum process is therefore important for those who work or wish to work as Scrum Masters.

This one-day course provides participants with understanding of the Scrum model, its elements, roles and best practices. In addition, we will discuss the evaluation of the workload. In agile development, workload estimates are truly estimates, not absolute commitments. The evaluation is very difficult, and it is approached in this course by discussing the possible pitfalls. The course also deals with agile requirements management, not forgetting the textbook “Best practices falling outside Scrum”.

The course is interactive and participatory in nature. The issues raised are illustrated with practical examples and exercises.

The course does not require previous knowledge of Scrum – but the method is recommended for participants to explore Scrum Primer, a site that offers a good overview of the subject matter.
